We're moving fast towards smartphones and tablet computers.

Mobile web traffic has surged 35% since last July, accounting for 10.55% of the web's traffic, according to Chitika, the Advertising Data Research Institute. This data shows that we are continuing to move rapidly towards smartphones and tablet computers. But we should also see that it is still too early to say that we are fully in the "post-PC" era, as Web traffic from PCs still controls 89.45% of the Web traffic. If we compare the use time of mobile devices and PCs, we find a negative correlation between the two, namely, as mobile devices become more and more popular, PCs are becoming a second choice or standby option.

As you can see from the figure below, the average use time of the device reveals some interesting behavioral patterns, with traffic from mobile devices taking up 20% of the total traffic from 8 to 10 in the morning.

The data clearly reveals that changes in consumer behaviour are leading to changes in the way people interact with the outside world and access information. Both at home and at work, tablets and smartphones are becoming the primary choice in many ways. During the work period, people are increasingly inclined to access the page through a tablet or smartphone to get relevant information, resulting in an increasing share of the total flow.

So far, the use of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) is growing fast, and the trend seems to be showing no signs of stopping. We have reason to believe that mobile devices will play a more and more important role in our life and work, perhaps it does not open the revolution, but will open up change.
