Beijing Time May 2 news, according to foreign media reports, social game manufacturers Zynga's non-profit organization zynga.org plans local time in Wednesday announced that it will invest 1 million of dollars in a new project to help start-ups develop games that help children learn. Zynga has selected some start-up companies to join the project and will help start-ups improve their products.
Zynga.org Partner is a non-profit investment agency NewSchools Venture Fund. Two institutions will choose the first-ever funded start-ups from this summer.
Mark Ping Golf, Zynga's chief executive, said in an interview that the project was designed to help the company quickly gain greater influence through the game in education, "developing a child-oriented and learning game that is too slow, an opportunity to speed up the innovation of learning-class games".
Doerr John Doerr, a venture capitalist and a member of Zynga's board of trustees, helped set up NewSchools Venture Fund in 1998. NewSchools Venture Fund, chief executive of Tede Mitchell (Ted Mitchell), said that cooperation with Zynga.org was part of the agency's plan to use children's off-campus learning practices in classrooms.
Pincus said it was one of the first projects zynga.org implemented. Zynga.org initially helped charities raise money through games.
