Now, how does myentunnel work? According to the usage, myentunnel is equivalent to creating a proxy server locally, but this proxy server is not only an HTTP proxy, but also socket-level. the proxy server uses the SSH server to obtain the Internet information requested by Firefox on the local machine. during such access, the SSH host actually becomes a proxy.
This is different from setting up a proxy for the browser. On the surface, a proxy is configured locally. however, the real Internet network topology is complex. In essence, it is hard to say whether the socket proxy server is configured locally after the HTTP Proxy server configured in Firefox is similar.
Therefore, whether you directly set the HTTP proxy or configure the socket proxy server on the local device, the same effect is displayed when you access a page through a browser. essentially, requests and responses are forwarded.
