Asp. NET tip: Configure the. NET 3.0 development environment

Developing. NET 3.0 applications requires configuration of the development environment. The configuration steps are as follows:

1. To develop. NET 3.0, first of all, install the. NET Framework 3.0.

Install the latest updates using WindowsUpdate before installation (Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003 SP1 must be installed) to download. Net Frameworkn3.0 (Windows 2003 and Windows XP); If you are VI STA user is directly installed from Vista "Turn Windows feature on or off" and Vista does not support installing from this installation file. From Vista Control Panel to "Uninstall a program", you can see "Turn Windows feature on or off" in the left sidebar. Vista "Turn Windows feature on or off" is equivalent to "Add/Remove Windows Components" in XP and Windows 2003. In Turn Windows feature on or off, select Install Microsoft. Net Framework 3.0.

Since. NET 3.0 is built on. NET 2.0, if you do not have a. net2.0 on your computer, it will automatically install. net2.0.

2. Install the Windows SDK (Windows®software Development Kit) for Windows Vista™and. NET Framework 3.0 Runtime components, which is called for Windows Vista, but if you want to develop. NET 3.0 applications in Windows 2003 and Windows XP, you must also install it. (This SDK are designed for use with Windows Vista (which includes Framework 3.0). The Windows SDK for Vista also supports creating applications for Windows XP, Windows server®2003 SP1, and Windows Server 2003 R2. ）

The SDK provides library files, header files, documents, samples, and tools that you need to develop applications running on Windows. Download the Windows SDK (compact disc image, size 1187.5 MB) You can also use the network installer to install, download from here Setup.exe

3. Install VS2005. This everybody knows, will not say more.

4. Install Visual Studio Extensions for WF and Visual Studio Extensions for WCF, WPF. They are presentation templates for the development of Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, and Windows Foundation VS2005. Now they're in the community preview, and when you see the article, download the latest version.

Before installing, delete the relevant old versions, including the old version of Visual Studio Extensions for Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation Runtime Onents. You must install the Windows SDK before you can install the visual Studio extentions for. NET Framework 3.0, which is the two above.

VS2005 Express Users, note that Visual Studio extensions for. NET Framework 3.0 (Windows Workflow Foundation) now does not support the Express version, if you are Express users will only be able to develop WCF and WPF applications.
