The Contoso University Web sample application demonstrates how to use the EF technology to create a asp.net MVC application. The University of Contoso in the example is fictitious. Applications include such functions as student registration, curriculum creation, and teacher assignment.
This series of tutorials shows the steps for creating the Contoso University application. You can download the complete program, or follow the tutorial step-by-step to create it, this tutorial using C # for the demo, download the code contains both C # and VB implementation. If you have questions that are not directly related to this tutorial, you can post to the ASP.net Entity Framework forum or the Entity Framework and LINQ to Entities forum.
This tutorial assumes you know how to use Visual Studio to develop the ASP.net MVC program, and if not, basic asp.net mvc Tutorial is a good starting point. If you have previously used Web Form development, you can first look at the Getting started with the Entity framework and the continuing with the Entity framework tutorial.
