Configuration requirements:

In an enterprise environment, network administrators often need:

I. Only employees are allowed to log on to work QQ and MSN;

II. Restrict employees from using common download software, stock trading software, video software and games;

III. View employees' online behavior records from time to time.

The following take our company TL-WVR450G as an example to achieve the above requirements of configuration.

Configuration steps:

1.Function settings

Enable the application restriction function and save it.

2.Application restriction settings

Select the "ANY" group for all employees in the user group, select the application to be restricted in the disabled rules list, and select the application to record the online behavior logs to the audit software in the rule list, select "ANY" at ANY time for the effective time (you can also customize the time for special requirements), select "enable" for the enable/disable rules, and click "add" to make the settings take effect.

Click "application list" to select the application to be disabled or recorded.

Click "Add". The corresponding rule entries are displayed in the "rule List". Click "View" to check whether the application is correctly selected in the application list.

3. QQAndMSNBlack/White List settings

In the QQ blacklist and whitelist, if QQ software is restricted in application restrictions, you can add an exception QQ number to the white list to allow normal logon of QQ in the White List. If QQ software is not restricted in application restrictions, you can add the corresponding QQ number to the blacklist to prohibit logon by using an individual QQ account.

MSN black and white lists are basically the same as QQ black and white lists.

4.View audit software logging

In steps 2 and 3, the logs of the application to be viewed are recorded in the audit software.

Audit software has two view types: Basic View and dedicated view. You can query the log records generated by the corresponding application in the "behavior audit" of the basic view.

In a dedicated view, you can add more detailed filter conditions to each application type.

In the audit software, you can use "export report" to export the log content to be viewed. You can also manually or automatically back up/clear the software log list in "database" and save the log content.
