Furthermore, we must maintain a high degree of attention when selecting a public Wi-Fi connection. In some foreign hotels and resorts, the following cases have occurred: cyber criminals use a Wi-Fi network to disguise themselves as a network of a hotel or other formal institution, and entice users to connect. All data sent and received by users through this network are intercepted by cyber criminals, which eventually results in the theft of online banking and even the theft of corporate secrets. Therefore, before connecting to a Wi-Fi network, the common Internet users must make sure that they do not fall into the trap set by cyber criminals or hackers, resulting in losses.

In addition, Kaspersky Lab experts believe that home wi-fi users also need to enhance their awareness of Wi-Fi security and take a series of measures to enhance the security of home Wi-Fi networks. Now, many families have set up their own home Wi-Fi networks using wireless routers. Although it provides great convenience for users, it also produces some security risks. First, some household Wi-Fi networks do not even have the most basic encryption measures, so that anyone can connect to the network and can intercept various confidential information through simple sniffing programs. For encrypted Wi-Fi networks, we usually use relatively backward WPA or WEP confidential methods. The encryption intensity and security are not high and it is easy to crack. In addition, the network password settings are unreasonable and easy to guess.
