On the afternoon of the 23th, Japan's ultra-high-speed Internet satellite was carried by the H2A rocket and successfully entered the pre-defined static transfer orbit.
At local time on the 23rd (Beijing Time), rockets carrying ultra-high-speed internet satellites were lifted from a large rocket launch site in the seasnima cosmic center. About 28 minutes after the launch, the H2A rocket sent the satellite to a static transfer orbit with a nearby height of 250 km, a remote height of 35976 km, and a orbital tilt angle of 28.5 degrees, and separated it from the satellite. As planned, the satellite will enter the pre-defined static Earth orbit 20 days after the launch.

Ultra-high-speed internet satellites are jointly developed by the Japanese space Aviation Research and Development Institute and the Information and Communication Research Institute. The satellite is 3 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 8 meters high. It looks like a container. The quality of its launch is about 4.85 tons, and the quality after entering the static orbit is about 2.7 tons. The satellite's mission was set to be five years and its main mission was to verify the technologies required to build a wireless ultra-high-speed and large-capacity international network. With this satellite, Japan hopes to establish an ultra-high-speed communication network covering Japan and other regions in the Asia-Pacific region in the future.

Ultra-high-speed Internet satellite was originally scheduled to be launched in 15th day of this month, and was postponed due to rocket propellant leakage.

News Background: ultra-high-speed Internet satellite

Xinhua News Agency, Tokyo, February 23 (reporter Qian) Japan's ultra-high-speed Internet satellite took off on the 23rd with the H2A rocket, the satellite is scheduled to run on the Earth's static orbit with a longitude of 143 degrees East and a distance of 36 thousand kilometers from the ground for five years.

Ultra-high-speed internet satellites are jointly developed by the Japanese space Aviation Research and Development Institute and the Information and Communication Research Institute. They look like a container with a length of 3 meters, a width of 2 meters, and a height of 8 meters. The satellite is equipped with two multi-Beam Antennas with a diameter of 2.4 and an active phased array antenna.

According to the design, after ultra-high-speed internet satellites run properly, ordinary households only need to install a small antenna with a diameter of about 45 cm to obtain a data receiving rate of up to 155 megabits per second and a 6 megabits upload rate; enterprises can achieve ultra-high-speed two-way data communication with a maximum speed of 1.2 gibits per second with an antenna of about 5 meters in diameter.

Japan hopes to establish a super-high-speed communication network covering Japan and the Asia Pacific region through ultra-high-speed internet satellites in the future to replace the ground communication system that may be damaged by disasters at any time, it also provides high-speed Internet access services for ordinary broadband lines in areas such as islands that are difficult to lay.
