Mac OS X uses Mentohust to replace ruijie's Internet Configuration Abstract: After purchasing a MacBook Air for nearly half a year, the school has been using campus wireless. Recently, however, I feel that the wireless network speed on campus is not so fast! Therefore, I bought a USB Ethernet conversion interface and configured Mentohust in Mac OS X to replace ruijie for Internet access. Specific Operation: first to http://code.google.com/p/mentohust/downloads/detail? Name1_mentohust_mac.tar.gz download and install the software. Create the/etc/mentohust folder under the/etc directory, decompress the downloaded package, and copy the files to the/etc/menothust directory. Then, find the x.exe and W32N55. dll files in the ruijie Windows system, and find a way to copy them to the/etc/mentohust directory. Then, enter sudo mentohust in the terminal to perform authentication. For the first authentication, you will be asked to enter relevant information, such as the user name, password, and nic selection. Note: If you use the USB Ethernet adapter for the MacBook Air, select the en2 Nic name (en0 should be the wireless network card name, and the names of different devices may be different. Note that !). You can select the default value for other items. Various Errors may occur during authentication. If an error occurred while obtaining the IP address or obtaining the subnet mask. Also, the bind: Address already in use prompt is always there. You do not need to care about these issues because they do not affect the internet. If some of your account information appears, such as your account balance, remaining traffic, and "Send heartbeat packet to stay online...", the authentication is successfully configured. If the authentication is successful, the connection is still unavailable. Note that the DNS is not added. Choose System Preference Settings> network> USB Ethernet (left sidebar)> advanced... (bottom right corner)> DNS to add a DNS server and search for a domain. The DNS server address and search domain are not left blank (at least on the campus network of my school ). The method I found this information is to first pass campus WIFI authentication, then view the information, record it, add it to USB Ethernet, and then perform sudo mentohust authentication. At this time, the Internet is normal. Another error is "authentication failed. Please use the client and legal IP address downloaded from the campus network ". This may be because you have previously used USB Ethernet for other types of local network connections. My suggestion is to remove the USB Ethernet and "apply it later" re-establish a USB Ethernet. Sometimes, you will find that you have modified the information and have not responded to it. My suggestion is to wait for a while after modification, or shut down and restart after modification. Mac OS X does not immediately respond to network settings.
