Step 1:
Set IIS permissions in Windows XP (if the partition of the website is not an NTFS file system, you do not need to set permissions. You can view the file system in the partition attributes ), the same applies to Windows 2000/2003. Use the C: wwwroot folder for demonstration.
Right-click the wwwroot directory and select "properties". The "security" label is not displayed.
If there is no "security" label, set "Folder Options" first. If yes, Skip.
1. "Tools" → "Folder Options"
2. "View" → remove the check box before "using simple file sharing (recommended )"
3. "OK" is completed. Right-click the wwwroot directory and select "properties ".
The "security" label is included in the wwwroot directory, but the "Group or user name" does not contain IIS users.
Click "add (D)...". The "select user or group" dialog box is displayed.
Click "Advanced (A)..." → "Search now (N )".
All groups or users of the local machine are displayed:
Select a user name starting with "IUSR _". The name is the name of your computer (in the figure, my computer name is QIUYI), for example, IUSR_QIUYI. Click "OK ".
Click "OK ". Return to the properties Setting dialog box of the wwwroot directory.
At this time, the "Group or user name" contains "Internet Guest Account (QIUYIIUSR_QIUYI)", and the red part is your computer name. Select "Internet Guest Account (QIUYIIUSR_QIUYI)", select "modify" for "allow" in the following permission settings, and click "OK.
At this point, the folder permission settings are complete. IIS has the "modify" permission for this directory. You can read and write files or databases. ASP operation permissions should be fine.
Step 2 (if the first step still fails to achieve the effect ):
There is also a directory for the user name starting with "IUSR _" (the latter part of the name is your computer name), with write permission, is the % SystemRoot % Temp (C: WindowsTemp when the system is installed by default) directory.
