After Solaris is installed, the Internet access is disabled by default. You need to modify the following four files:
1./etc/hosts or/etc/inet/hosts
2./etc/resolv. conf does not exist by default. You need to manually add
3. Modify/etc/nsswitch. conf and click OK.
4./etc/defaultrouter does not exist by default. manually add
The details are as follows:
1. edit the/etc/hosts file. A Linux user understands what this step means, except that the/etc/hosts file is a soft link to the/etc/inet/hosts file, as follows:
# Cd/etc
# Ls-l hosts
Lrwxrwxrwx 1 Root 12 Jan 6 host12 hosts->./inet/hosts
# Cd/etc/inet
# Ls-l hosts
-R -- 1 root sys 107 Jan 6 hosts
2. Create the resolv. conf file and add it to the DNS server address:
# Vi/etc/resolv. conf
Nameserver 202.101.172.48
Nameserver 202.101.172.46
3. Modify/etc/nsswitch. conf and only modify the following lines:
Hosts: Files DNS
4. Create the/etc/defaultrouter file and add it to the gateway address:
# Vi/etc/defaultrouter
192.168.1.1
OK. The end is now.
