What are public and private addresses?

The public address is the responsibility of Inter NIC (Internet Network Information Center. These IP addresses are assigned to organizations that register and apply to inter Nic. Use it to directly access the internet.

Private address is a non-registered address, which is used internally by the Organization.

The following lists the reserved private addresses.

Class A 10.0.0.0 -- 10.255.255.255

Class B 172.16.0.0 -- 172.31.255.255

Class C 192.168.0.0 -- 192.168.255.255
