According to foreign media reports, sources said that Apple CEO Tim Cook (Tim Cook) is actively seeking for the company's board of fresh blood. The Wall Street Journal reported today that Cook was looking for newcomers who could help manage Apple, such as Angela Ahrendts, the former chief executive of Burberry, who had previously been led. It is also reasonable for Cook to expand the board.
The Apple board currently consists of eight people who are loyal partners of former CEO Steve Jobs. Of the seven independent directors, six are over the age of 63, four of them serve more than 10 years, and two have joined the company's board of directors since the 1990s: Intuit Bill Campbell, the company's chief executive, and Millard S.Drexler, chief executive of J. Crew Group.
An ex-employee of Apple said: "The only thing Steve Jobs care about is building great products, and all employees of the company are working around this goal, and Cook is more about taking care of everything in the company."
