How to troubleshoot Azure Storage emulator initialization failure

Windows Azure is a Silverlight based software, and its development portal is now a new one. All of its information, all operations can be done in one page. Use this new portal, from configuring the guest operating system to stopping or restarting a service, almost on one page, to get everything done. This new portal has a ribbon at the top, a left pane and a right pane. On the aspx file, however, I only added a label, but when I tried to run the project, but not as smoothly as I had imagined, I got the following error:

When I switch to the Output window, I raise the following error message:

Windows Azure Tools: Initialization of Windows Azure storage emulator failed. Unable to start development Storage. Failed to start development storage: SQL Server instance ' localhost\sqlexpress ' could not be found. Please configure a SQL Server instance for development storage using the ' dsinit ' utility in the Windows Azure SDK.

To solve this problem, we need to open the Command Prompt window in admin mode:

Switch current directory to: C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsAzureSDK\v1.3\Bin\DevStore

Then enter the command:

C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Sdk\v1.3\bin\devstore dsinit/sqlinstance:sqltest/forcecreate

In the process of executing this command, only two points need to be noticed:

Sqltest: This is the name of the SQL Server instance. Make sure you provide the name of the SQL Server instance instead of your PC name here.

If you do not provide a valid SQL Server instance name, you may get the following exception:

After you successfully execute this command, you will get the following dialog with success message:
