HDFS (Hadoop distributed filesystem) divides large data into small chunks and stores them in a distributed cluster composed of multiple data nodes, while the relational database is encountering many bottlenecks in managing massive spatial data. Become a new way of storing massive spatial data. Using HDFs as the platform, using the data structure type mapfile design a kind of management Mapgis K9 Tile Atlas Way, and carries on the experiment. The experiment shows that the management of massive tiles with HDFs is easier to expand, more secure and more efficient than the traditional way of management.
