The Industrial revolution in the mobile internet era?

In yesterday's Baidu technology open day, Baidu officially announced the launch of "large Data Engine", an open platform will be created to attract traditional companies with vast amounts of data in communications, finance, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, and so on, to provide these companies with the ability to store, correlate, analyze large data and provide large data infrastructures.

Baidu Big Data Engine includes open cloud, Data Factory, Baidu Brain three layer core platform.

Among them, Baidu open cloud equivalent to Baidu "large data Engine" infrastructure and hardware capabilities, relying on small energy consumption, storage density of the arm server, the construction of Low-power data center and distributed computing architecture, to solve the data storage and computing bottlenecks.

Data factories can be seen as the software capabilities of Baidu to organize massive amounts of data, and Baidu provides a "big data excavator" that associates data and digs out its value, and the Data Factory hosts queries and scans of terabytes and even larger data.

Baidu's brain will be Baidu in depth learning and large-scale machine learning ability to open up, involving voice, image, text recognition, as well as natural language and semantic understanding. Baidu Deep Neural Network has 20 billion parameters and has an independent depth Learning Institute (IDL) and an earlier layout. It is reported that Baidu Brain can now simulate the intelligence level of two or three-year-old infants.

Using the theory of "program = data structure + algorithm" put forward by Turing Prize winner N.wirth, if Baidu "Big Data Engine" is a program, its data structure is "open cloud" + "Data Factory", and the algorithm corresponds to "Baidu Brain".

Previously, Baidu's capabilities were largely open to third-party developers and are now open to large companies with massive data. It is reported that Baidu "Big Data Engine" open is gradual, and now take the invitation system and free mode, with the government, non-governmental organizations, manufacturing, medical, financial, retail and education in the traditional areas of the first cooperation. Robin Li believes that more industries will be involved in the future, and that the pace of getting involved is an accelerated development process that will produce a new industrial revolution.

It is reported that the National Transportation Management Department of part of the application plan to migrate to Baidu Open cloud platform, China Disease Control Center will also combine the disease control big Data and Baidu Big data, build China's first influenza prediction system.
