Adobe temporarily shut down a user forum that has been attacked by hackers.
This Connectusers.com User Forum allows Adobe users to share online conference, online learning, and online seminar information and discussions.
However, a hacker from Egypt claimed that the hacker had access to user data. Adobe temporarily closes the Forum and indicates that the password of the affected member will be reset.
The hacker uses the ViruS_HimA alias. According to the hacker, he obtained more than 150000 email addresses and passwords from Adobe employees, the US military, Google, NASA, and other agencies.
The hacker only published e-mail addresses with extensions such as adobe.com,. mil, And. gov. However, he claims that his goal is "not to destroy Adobe's business ".
According to Hacker News, ViruS_HimA uploads the php shell to this website and can search for database configuration files to steal Forum credit before exporting data.
ViruS_HimA said that he launched an attack on Adobe because Adobe solved the security problem. When Adobe receives a security risk report, it sometimes takes three to four months to fix the vulnerability.
The hacker said that the next target of the attack would be Yahoo.
Adobe claims that this hacker attack is an "unauthorized third party" and will not affect other services.
Adobe also said it was investigating hacker attacks and would "Restore forum services as soon as possible ".
