An error occurred while connecting the SQL server Enterprise Manager to the application.

Since N has not used SQL server for a long time, when backing up and migrating a database of SQL server, I chose the easy-to-operate graphical interface-enterprise manager. (Of course, there will be commands to better operate in the query analyzer) but when the newly installed SQL server opens the query analyzer, an error occurs, as shown in the figure below:

Solution:

Start -- enter regsvr32 semsfc. dll/s in the running state and press enter to solve the problem.

Click "SQL server Group"> "create SQL server registration"> "next"> "available servers" and select the server to be linked.

After adding the database, select the database to be backed up in the database list, right-click all tasks-back up the database.
