An error occurred while installing sogouinput Method on ubuntu. ubuntu sogou Input Method

When installing the sogouinput method, you may not be able to find the problem after installation. Sogou depends on fcitx, so you need to uninstall the built-in fcitx and reinstall it (the system may have fcitx, I tried to install Sogou directly but could not configure it. I chose to reinstall fcitx ).

 

Basically, there are three steps: 1. Add the fcitx keyboard input method system, because sogou depends on the fcitx tool, while the default system is iBus; 2. Install sogouinput method; 3. Set the language.

 

 

Step 1: add the fcitx keyboard input method system ① add the following source: sudo add-apt-repository ppa: fcitx-team/nightly

② Update the system after adding the Source: sudo apt-get upgrade.

③ Start to install fcitx: sudo apt-get install fcitx
Check whether the installation is successful step 2. Install the sogouinput method ① Select the installation package with the same number of digits as your system. My system is 64-bit, so I downloaded the 64-bit installation package. For: http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/

② Download and double-click to install

 

Step 3: Set language options ① To system Settings> language support. Set the keyboard input method system from the default iBus to fcitx.

 

② Restart and save the configuration

③ Search for the fcitx configuration and click the plus sign in the lower left to set the sogouinput Method to the default one.
