Apple launches "Developer ID" or paves the way for keeper

Today, developers gradually receive an email from Apple:

Mac App Store is the safest place for users to obtain Mac software, but we also need to protect users who download apps from other places. Developer ID is a new way to help users defend against malware attacks. In combination with the new feature in Mountain Lion, you can use the developer ID to sign your application so that users can download and use it with confidence without worrying about whether to download malware. Now let your application be ready for the Keeper. With Xcode 4.3 or Developer Certificate Utility, you can easily get the Developer ID.

For developers who do not want to publish applications in the Mac App Store, Apple provides a new mode of software trust. With the developer ID and keeper, users (including IT administrators, parents, and children) can be confident that the software they use is signed by Apple developers.
