Cannot determine the solution to the security settings of the group policy applied to this machine

The security settings of the group policy applied to this machine cannot be determined. The error returned when you try to retrieve these settings from the Local Security Policy Database (% windir % securitydatabasesecedit. sdb) is: the parameter is incorrect.

This problem is found when you view the Group Policy.

All local security settings are displayed, but do not indicate whether a given security setting is defined by a group policy. All Local Security Settings Modified on the user interface may be subsequently replaced by domain-level policies.

When accessing the Local Security Policy Branch, the following message is displayed:
The security settings of the group policy applied to this machine cannot be determined.
The error returned when you try to retrieve these settings from the local security database (% windir % securitydatabasesecedit. sdb) is: the parameter is incorrect.
All local security settings are displayed, but do not indicate whether a given security setting is defined by a group policy.
All Local Security Settings Modified on the user interface may be subsequently overwritten by domain-level policies.
Follow these steps:
Solution:

1. Switch to the command prompt status.
2. Run "esentutl/k % windir % SecurityDatabaseSecedit. sdb" and "esentutl/g % windir % SecurityDatabaseSecedit. sdb" to check secedit. sdb.
3. Manually back up the database files to be repaired.
4. Run "esentutl/p % windir % SecurityDatabaseSecedit. sdb" to fix the issue. The system will pop up the Warning prompt box:
"You shoshould only run Repair on damaged or your upted databases. Repair will not apply information in the transaction log files to the database, and may cause information to be lost. Do you wish to proceed? "
Click OK.
