View version number
sqlplus / as sysdba>select * from v$version;
Back up orcl Databases
export ORACLE_SID=orclrman targer />backup full database plus archivelog;
Upgrade
./RunInstall install the upgrade package
Sqlplus/as sysdba> startup upgrade> @ $ ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catupgrd. SQL> shutdown immediate> startup> @ $ ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlrp. SQL> select * from utl_recomp_errors; ----------> no error indicates that no row is selected.
Check
> Select name from v $ database -------> confirm that ORACLE_SID is correct, which is oral> show user -------> confirm that the current user is SYS> select tablespace_name, bytes from dba_data_files ------> confirm the tablespace size> @ $ ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catalog. SQL> shutdown immediate> startup
Manually uninstall oracle:
/etc/ora*/usr/local/bin/oraenv/usr/local/bin/dbhome/usr/local/bin/coraenv$ORACLE_BASE/*
