Create a copy in the SQL Server database

ICreate release

Select a database server to create a distribution server for the Publishing Server (the distribution server and the Publishing Server can be the same database server), and the distribution server can be a local server or remote server. To create a distributor, follow these steps:

(1) run SQL Server Enterprise Manager, connect to the database server to be set as the distributor, and click <tool (T)> Menu, select <wizard (W)>. In the select wizard dialog box, click Copy + on the left to expand, as shown in.

(2) double-click "Configure release and distribution wizard" to open the dialog box shown in. Click "Next" as prompted to keep the default operation.

(3) run the dialog framework shown in. Select the first item and click "Next ". All the way to the default system settings, run until the final creation of the distributor is complete.

 

IICreate a publication

 

(1) Select an existing distributor and click <tool (T)> Menu, select <wizard (W)>. In the select wizard dialog box, click Copy + on the left to expand, as shown in.

(2) For example, select "create release wizard" to bring up the dialog framework, select the database to be published (for the subscription server to share data), such as the pubs database, and click <create release>

 

(3) keep the default settings and click <next> next. In the dialog frame, select the release type and click <next>.

(4) Select the subscription database type, as shown in:

 

(5) Select the project (such as table, stored procedure, and view) to be released. In this example, select the Employees table as the release project, as shown in:

(6) Select the release Name and description (customizable), for example:

 

(7) set custom publishing attributes, as shown in:

(8) filter data. You can set conditions to overwrite rows or columns. If this parameter is not set, all data of the preceding options is published by default. Click <next> set filtering conditions.

(9) Configure snapshot agent scheduling. As shown in, click <change (C)> Set. Create a publication.

 

3.Create forced subscription

Subscription can be forced subscription or request subscription. Forced subscription can be created on the Publishing Server, and the requesting subscription can be created on the subscription server. To create a forced subscription, follow these steps:

(1) On the Publishing Server, select a publishing project, such as pubs_employees: pubs,

(2) Click <tool (T)> Menu, select <wizard (W)>. In the select wizard dialog box, click Copy + on the left to expand, as shown in.

(3) Select a release project, as shown in, and click <Force New subscription (S)>

(4) Select subscription service. As shown in:

(5) select the target database, as shown in the figure below:

(6) set the Merge Agent scheduling.

(7) initialize the subscription, as shown in,
