Oracle announces the following: Database Control (also known as Dbcontrol or database Console) will be backed up in the major version after Oracle DB 11.2.

Database Control is fully supported in Oracle DB 11.2 lifecycle (including all patch set and extended support). In future versions of Oracle database, basic database management will be done through a streamlined management tool, while extensive management capabilities will pass through Oracle database from Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Plug-in to achieve.
