Today, PMO issued a task order. After the database was transformed from the sybase system to the Oracle system, 312 entity tables were created for a total of 20 objects, it must be a monkey year, a month, and does not meet the schedule of the project task. The following is a quick method for this conversion:

1. Use the Change Current DBMS operation of powerdesigner.

New dbms selects ORACLE Version 10gR2 to replace Sybase AS Enterprise 12.5.3a of the current dbms.

Expected: In this step, char, varchar, numeric, and datetime are switched to the expected char, varchar2, number, and date.

Non-conforming: integer is not switched to the expected number. The default value getdate () is not switched to the expected SYSDATE. default ''is not converted to a valid default ''. Oracle empty strings are invalid. The index name retains the sybase feature, which is unique in the object but not globally unique in oracle. The process is the original script that retains sybase.

2. Start the transformation for non-conforming expectations

The database design document of xunxun is designed in powerdesigner15. You can directly open it using the editplus and UltraEdit editing tools. Essentially, it is an xml file and then search for the integer-type definition keyword string.

Type Definition: INTEGERUniformly changed to NUMBER (10).

For Boolean Type, yes and no, it is clear that NUMBER (1) is the same. When defining such field names, there is a significant feature starting with "is _". Open EltraEdit to find the is _ string, the type definition for this field is located near this string. Because of the previous steps, all of them have been changed to NUMBER (10) and changed to NUMBER (1). For other fields, although some fields do not need to have a length of 10, they must be modified individually.

After the preceding two steps, the table object definition type and default value both meet the expectations. As for the index name to be globally unique, it can only be manually modified, including the process. The unified replacement has saved us a lot of time and the Schedule to catch up with the project task list is not a problem.
