IPv6 is enabled by default on CentOS, but it is useless at present. sometimes there are some problems. so, you can turn it off. 1. check whether IPv6 support is enabled for some systems # ifconfigeth0. you can see that inet6addr... indicates that IPv6 support is enabled. disable it now. 2. add two lines of statements in/etc/modprobe. conf. it's too long for me to get it.
IPv6 is enabled by default on CentOS, but it is useless at present. sometimes there are some problems. so, you can turn it off.
1. check whether IPv6 support is enabled for some systems.
# Ifconfig eth0
You can see that inet6 addr... indicates that it is enabled, and now it is disabled.
2. add two lines of statements in/etc/modprobe. conf. it's too long for me to get it.
# Vim/etc/modprobe. conf
Add
Alias net-pf-10 off
Alias ipv6 off
Save and exit.
3. restart the system and check IPv6 support again.
# Reboot
# Ifconfig eth0
If you want to enable IPv6 support again, simply delete the two statements you have added and restart the system.
