Arndale is a development board developed and developed by insignal. It uses Samsung's most advanced SoC Exynos5420 and carries 3 gb ram and 4g emmc (this is a bit pitfall ), AX88796 10/100 m nic (slightly pitfall), USB 3.0, etc. This time, Samsung did not know why it removed the SATA interface !!
According to the official wiki, I want to download the Android source code. I found that it took a long time to download the source code, so I took the opportunity to record it for later reference.
1. The official wiki says it is recommended to use Ubuntu10.10 _ x64. This is not recommended by myself. The support for 10.10ubuntu has already been suspended. Therefore, I suggest using ubuntu12.04 _ x64.
2. Download vmware and the system. After installation, download the required software package based on the wiki.
3. this step is critical to downloading the repo tool. The correct Repo tool is related to whether the source code can be successfully downloaded. After many tests by myself, I found that the available repo is repo 1.12, which can be searched and downloaded by google, save it ~ /Bin directory, and then set the environment variable
4. initialize the Repository
Repo init-u git: // git. insignal. co. kr/insignal/arndale_octa-jb_mr1.1/android/manifest-B jb-mr1.15. sync
Repo sync-f-j10
6. Then there is a long waiting process. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to download it. After compiling the kernel and u-boot, the folder has 14 GB .. Big !!!!
Linaro ubuntu. Download here: http://releases.linaro.org/14.01/ubuntu/arndale-octa
