Confluence 6 SQL Server creates a database and database user

Once you have successfully installed the SQL Server server, create the database users and databases for your confluence as follows:

2. Use your SQL administrator permissions to create a new database (for example confluence ).

4. Sets the default character set for the database to sql_latin1_general_cp1_cs_as (case sensitive).
   

   ALTER DATABASE <database-name> COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS

   If you see the ' database could not being exclusively locked to perform the operation ' error, you need to prohibit other users from connecting to the databases by setting the database schema to single user mode.

   ALTER DATABASE <database-name> SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE;<your ALTER DATABASE query>ALTER DATABASE <database-name> SET MULTI_USER;

6. Check the isolation level of the database Read_committed_snapshot set to ON.
   

   select Is_read_committe d_snapshot_on from sys.databases WHERE name= Database-name '

   If the result returned by the query is 1 , then Read_committed_snapshot is set to ON , you have completed the setup correctly.

   If the result returned by the query is   0 and the  read_committed_snapshot option is OFF, you need to run the following command to complete the setup:

   alter DATABASE <database-name>&NBSP;&NBSP;&NBSP; set Read_committed_snapshot on &NBSP;&NBSP;&NBSP; with ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE;

8. Using your SQL Administrator privileges, create a new SQL user account for confluence (for example confluenceuser ).

10. For database tables, assign, create, read, and write permissions to this user. Confluence must be able to create its own schema. Refer to the SQL Server documentation to learn how to do this.
