Set the machine to boot from the CD drive, insert the Fedora Linux 11 installation CD into the optical drive, and after it starts, it appears as shown: The first item is installed or updated, and the third is to restore the installed system. These are the two items that we often use. Since I am a new installation, select the first item, and then press Enter: Ask if you want to test the media, choose Skip Skip: Click the "Next" button and choose the language type: Here we choose "Chinese (Simplified)" and click "Next" Button configuration keyboard: Select the default value, click the "Next" button, enter the host name: After the completion of the input, click the "Next" button, select the time zone: we choose "Asian/shanghai". Note that the "system clock using UTC time (S)" Below is selected by default. Be sure to remove this option, or your machine time will be different from the Beijing time difference of 8 hours, and you modify the system time in Linux, Windows Time and Beijing time difference 8 hours. In this way, Windows and Linux always have a system with no time. Click the "Next" button, enter the root password: that is, the root password, the user is the Linux system administrator, you do a lot of operations, such as licensing, modify hardware configuration, and so on, all need to use this user, so this user's password must be kept in mind. After the input is complete, click the "Next" button. The bottom is going to be the most important part of the installation process, it's also a very error-prone step----partition a hard disk: Select "Set up a custom partition organization" and click "Next" button: "/dev/sda" under the hard drive represents the first hard drive, and if there is a second hard drive, it also displays "/dev /sdb ", and so on. My hard drive is about 10G, so the top show free space big thing 10236MB. Select this hard drive, click on the "New (W)" button, ready to build the partition: First we set up the boot partition, "mount point (M):" Select "/boot", the partition is mainly used to store the system boot necessary files and information. "File system type (T):" Select "Ext3", "Size (MB) (S):" Enter "200", in general, 100-200MB can, 200MB enough to use. Click the "OK" button and the boot partition is complete. Select the remaining space and click the "New" button to allocate space for the swap partition: Select "Swap" directly in "File system type (T):", which is twice times the size of physical memory, and my physical memory is 768MB, so I enter "1500" in "Size (MB) (S):" and click " OK button. Down to start allocating the root partition, select the remaining free space, click on the "newBuild "button:" mount point (M): "Select"/"" File system Type (T): "Select" Ext3 "or" Ext4 "," Size (MB) (S): "Select Use all free space (a). Click on the "OK" button to complete this section. The final partition status is as shown in the figure: click the "Next" button to indicate that formatting will delete all the data in the partition, click the "Modify write to Disk (W)" button, and start creating the file system: When you're done, click the "Next" button to start configuring the bootstrapper: The "Fedora" in the list represents the Fedora Linux 11, if you have other systems on your hard drive, you will also have a "other" option. These options will appear in the boot menu after the machine is booted for you to choose which system to enter. Here you can edit the text displayed in the boot menu. Select "Fedora", click on the "Edit" button on the right, enter text in the pop-up window, and click "OK" button. Then click on the "Next" button to choose the package to install: Here you can choose the default package, "Customize later" or "Customize Now". We chose to "Customize now," click the "Next" button: Select the package you want to install here, and then click the "Next" button to start checking dependencies between the packages you want to install, start the installation process, and so on, as shown in the figure:   When all the preparation is done, start installing the package: When it's done, it will appear, "Congratulations, Fedora Installation Complete" screen: Click the "Reboot" button, reboot the system, will appear welcome interface:   Click the "Forward" button, appear license information: Click the "Forward" button to create a new user: Enter the username and password, click the "Forward" button, Set date and time: After the setup is complete, click on the "Forward" button to send a message with the hardware configuration: We choose "No, do not send", click "Finish" button, so, Fedora Linux 11 installation completed. I am in the installation completed, appeared "Congratulations, your Fedora installation has been completed" screen, click the "Reboot" button, the system reboots, then the normal situation should appear the boot menu, but the boot menu does not appear, but out of the "Non-system disk Or disk Error" Message, the system will not start. No way, with the Windows installation CD-ROM boot system, into the Partition magic tool, prompted that the partition size error, asked whether the need to let Partition magic automatic adjustment, the first time I click on the adjustment, after the restart, or the same, only again, choose not to adjust. Check the disk with Diskman, said no active partitions, a look, only the Linux  /The boot  partition is the active partition, the C disk is not the active partition, the C disk is set as the active partition, and then restarted, which returns to normal. In fact, the work done in the front are roughly the same, the key is the system after the operation of the reboot, this is the focus of my primary point, I hope to be able to meet the situation of friends to help.
