After standards have been set up in the graphics card, machine, automobile and other fields, Futuremark today released a free browser benchmark performance testing tool "Peacemaker", which is peace guard, to ease the war on browsers.

Peacemaker mainly tests the JavaScript function to measure the browser's performance. It does not involve other features and security. W3C network standard compatibility, Flash, and other external components are not under consideration, it is not affected by network speed and latency.

The entire test consists of five parts: Array, DOM, String, Render, and Community. Each part contains a number of different subprojects. The final score is the geometric average of the scores of these five parts.

Peacemaker supports almost all popular browsers today, but only Windows platforms and mobile browsers are not supported.During the test period, Peacemaker scans the system hardware by default (requires system information components to be installed) to associate it with browser performance and provide richer statistics, of course, you can also choose not to scan and directly test, the score will not be any different.

Note: To get a more accurate score, it is best to open only one test window and close all other windows or labels during the test.

According to official data provided by Futuremark,On the Core i7-920 platform, browsers scored Safari 4.0-1726, Chrome 1.0.154.48-942, Opera 9.63-697, Firefox 3.0.6-577, IE8-411, IE7-251On the Phenom II X4 940 platform, the score is 1610, 1157, (vacancy), 634, (vacancy), and 268. The best score for users currently participating in the test is 2264, Which is Safari 4.0 on Core i7-965 processor, GeForce GTX 280 graphics card, 6 GB memory, Windows Vista system.
