Install Fedora16 on Windows 7 hard drive

Since Fedora15, install is no longer available in the image ISO file. the imgfile is installed. Therefore, the network configuration is required when you use a non-CD-based installation. Therefore, you cannot install a later version like Fedora14. 1. Download The DVDISO of Fedora16 from the Fedora Official Website: Fedora-16-i386-DVD.iso, put it in the partition of Fat32 format, I here is the c disk, that is, put the ISO under the C disk (not NTFS format, otherwise, it cannot be installed)

1. Download The Fedora16 dvd iso: Fedora-16-i386-DVD.iso from the Fedora official website, put itFat32In the format partition, I am here the C drive, that is, put the ISO under the C drive (it cannot be in the NTFS format, otherwise it cannot be installed)

2. decompressVmlinuz and initrd. imgFile, put it on disk C (that is, the same disk as ISO)

3. decompressImagesFolder and put it on drive C (that is, the same disk as ISO)

4. Download EasyBCD and install: http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2007-12/10060.htm

After the installation is complete, open EasyBCD and selectAdd New Entry-NeoGrub-Install-Configure

5. Add the following content to the pop-up menu notepad:

Title Install Fedora 16

Kernel (hd0, 0)/vmlinuzLinux askmethod

Initrd (hd0, 0)/initrd. img

Note 1: linux askmethod must be added; otherwise, the network installation will be started,

NOTE 2:(Hd0, 0) is my C drive (that is, the disk where the ISO file is stored). This must be modified according to the partition where the ISO file is stored.

6. Restart Win7 and select Install Fedora 16 to Install Fedora16.
