How the JSP works
Executing JSP code requires the JSP engine to be installed on the server, comparing common engines such as Tomcat. After you have configured these JSP-enabled Web servers, you can then access the JSP pages through the browser.
Most of the work of JSP is to interact with the client.
(1) The server will first parse the request after it receives a request, if the requested page is just a generic HTML page, the server reads the HTML page directly and returns it to the client.
(2) If the client requests a JSP page, the server invokes the JSP engine to translate the requested JSP page and returns the translated and processed HTML back to the client.
(3) If the JavaBeans component is encountered, the JSP engine invokes the corresponding JavaBeans component, obtains the JavaBeans return value, and returns to the JSP page.
