The following code is a simple Java class (Jythontest.java):
public class Jythontest {
public void greeting () {
System.out.println ("hello,world!");
}
}
The corresponding binary. class file can be obtained using Javac:
$ Javac Jythontest.java
After you have compiled this class (and placed the. class file in the current directory or somewhere in the configured Java classpath), you can start Jython:
$ classpath=jythontest.class Jython
This class is then imported directly:
>>> Import Jythontest
>>> test = Jythontest ()
>>> test.greeting ()
hello,world!
If you work with Java, you can use the Jythonc command to compile a Python class into a Java class that can be imported directly into a Java program.
