1. Update the software Source:

To modify the Sources.list file:

Vim/etc/apt/sources.list or Leafpad/etc/apt/sources.list

run after Save:

If you want to install the update more stably, you can use:

Apt-get Upgrade #安装更新 (update the software already downloaded in the new source situation)

If you want to allow the system to have more discretionary options when installing updates (such as allowing the system to process autonomously when software dependencies change), you can use:

Apt-get Dist-upgrade #安装更新2

Here's another look at the difference between upgrade and Dist-upgrade.

Upgrade: The system upgrades the existing package, and if there is a dependency problem, and this dependency requires the installation of other new or dependent dependencies on the other, this will not be upgraded and retained.

Dist-upgrade: Can intelligently solve the problem of dependencies, if there is a dependency problem, need to install/remove the new package, will try to install/remove it.

(so usually this would be considered a somewhat risky upgrade)

Apt-get upgrade and Apt-get Dist-upgrade are essentially nothing different.

However, Dist-upgrade will identify and deal with situations where dependency changes are made, and upgrade does not deal with this situation.

For example, package a originally relied on B c D, but it may have been upgraded in the source and is now a dependent B C e. In this case, Dist-upgrade will remove the D installation E and upgrade the A package, and upgrade will consider the dependency change to refuse to upgrade a.

In short, upgrade to update before the upgrade will not handle some dependencies, if the updated software appears dependent

2. Install Chinese Input Method

After the source has been updated, execute the command

Apt-get Install FCITX Fcitx-googlepinyin

Then reboot to the application interface to see the Penguin icon Fcitx. Must restart does not restart the input method or can not be used, Ctrl + space to perform IME switching
