Exit to Windows, in the Virtual Machine menu bar, click Virtual Machines, install the VMWARE TOOLS submenu

Tar zxpf/mnt/cdrom/vmwaretools-x.x.x-yyyy.tar.gz Valuex.x.x is the product version number, andyyyy is the build number of the product release version. If you attempt to perform a tar installation on top of an RPM installation, or if you perform an RPM installation on a tar installation, the Setup program detects a previous installation and must convert the Setup database format before continuing.

If necessary, unmount the CD-ROM image. |
Umount/dev/cdrom you do not need to unmount the image if the Linux distribution version is automatically mounted on the CD-ROM.

Run the Setup program and configure VMware Tools. |
