The day before yesterday, I started a Dell notebook, i7 fifth-generation processor, 8 GB memory, 1 TB hard drive, and met my requirements for mobile workstations. Today, we decided to replace the genuine win8 with Ubuntu. The consequence of DIY is that the system started in 3 seconds has become now 15 seconds. But another problem is bothering me, that is, the brightness of the screen cannot be adjusted. The method is: System Settings-> Personal-> Brightness & Lock --> adjust the Brightness slider.

1. Script content:

$ Cat/usr/local/sbin/brightness. sh

Echo 465>/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness

The maximum brightness of the notebook is:

$ Cat/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/max_brightness

937

So I can set 465.

2. Set this script to boot

Add the following script to/etc/rc. local.

$ Sudo vim/etc/rc. local

...

/Usr/local/sbin/brightness. sh

Restart the system and check the changes.
