Microsoft today announced the acquisition of the mobile app cross-platform developer Xamarin, the acquisition amount is unknown. Xamarin provides tools for developing IOS, Android, and Windows native mobile apps through C #, as well as a cloud application testing platform – fully compliant with Microsoft's "cross-platform" and "mobile-first" strategies.
There are more than 15,000 Xamarin clients, including more than 100 Fortune 500 companies, and 1.3 million independent developers have used Xamarin. And Microsoft has long-term collaboration with Xamargin, such as Xamarin integration, training, and services such as Visual Studio, Azure, Office 365, and Enterprise Mobility suite.
After the acquisition, Microsoft will further strengthen the integration of Xamarin development tools and Services, Xamarin plus Visual Studio, Visual Studio Team Services and Azure will provide a more complete mobile application development program, it is expected that Microsoft will be in the Build More at 2016 meetings.
