Is there any switch between GUI and command line in your work? When you always enter the directory you want to enter in the command line, are you frustrated? If yes, you must try the nautilus plug-in-nautilus-open-terminal.
Nautilus-Open-Terminal
Nautilus-Open-Terminal is a nautilus plug-in that allows you to Open terminals everywhere. It is especially useful when you want to perform command line operations on a specific directory in a directory that contains sub-directories. If you have installed this plug-in, all you need to do is right-click the Directory and select the menu item Open in Terminal.
As shown in:
Now, when you click the Open in Terminal menu item, the system will Open a Terminal and use the directory you just right-clicked as the current directory of the Terminal.
Therefore, after using this plug-in, it is so simple from GUI to command line.
Download/install
Here are some links related to this plug-in:
- Find the plug-in on the launchpad website
- Find this plug-in on the Ubuntu Packages website
The first time I tried to download and install this plug-in from the Ubuntu Software Center, I reported an error saying that some dependent software packages were missing in my system. And then try to download and install from the command line, it is still the same error. Therefore, I first run The sudo apt-get-f install command to fix the dependency, and then download and install the plug-in from the Ubuntu Software Center.
Advantages
This plug-in saves you a lot of time and does not need to be switched between the command line and GUI.
Disadvantage
You have to solve the dependency missing error before downloading and installing the SDK.
Summary
Because it is convenient, I will recommend this plug-in to everyone. Once you use it, you will find the difference.
