Oracle Physical DG Installation: Main Library creation

Select General Purpose or Transaction processing, next

Configure Enterprise Manger not selected, point automatic maintenance Tasks


Enable automatic mainteance tasks not selected, next


set the unified password for SYS, system, next


because the password you set is too simple, a warning may pop up, click Yes

Enable Archiving selection, next


set SGA, PGA, point character sets


Set Database character encoding, point all initialization Parameters


Parameters page, point show advanced Parameters


such as,


${db_unique_name} modified to ${db_name}




DB_NAME=ORCL,DB_UNIQUE_NAME=DG1


log_archive_dest_1= ' Location=/oracle/arc '


in the control file path${db_unique_name} modified to ${db_name}




in the data file path${db_unique_name} modified to ${db_name}




Redo the log file path${db_unique_name} modified to ${db_name}, the next step

Check that the parameter settings are correct,If you need to save to HTML, click Save as an HTML file, confirm that the parameters are correct, click OK

DG Main Library created successfully, ready to create the library, you need to modify the main library's DG-related parameters, and add standby redo log, and then restart

2. ALTER DATABASE ADD standby logfile Group 4 ('/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/sredo41.log ', '/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/ Sredo42.log ') size 50M;
   ALTER DATABASE ADD standby logfile Group 5 ('/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/sredo51.log ', '/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/ Sredo52.log ') size 50M;
   ALTER DATABASE ADD standby logfile Group 6 ('/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/sredo61.log ', '/oracle/db/oradata/orcl/ Sredo62.log ') size 50M;
