Silent Installation involves three steps: Silent Installation of oracle software, silent upgrade of oracle software, and silent creation of databases. First, we start from Silent Installation of oracle software.
1. Silent Installation of oracle software
1. Create a Silent Installation response file (OUI Mode)
To use OUI to record response files, you must use a graphical terminal. If the target server does not support recording, you can record the files on other servers. However, make sure that the environment settings are consistent with those on the target server. OUI is the simplest and error-prone method, but it is quite troublesome when the server does not support graphical terminals. When recording the response file in OUI mode, note that during the recording process, you only need to install the database software and do not create a database. On the installation page, select cancel. The following are specific commands, and the OUI operation is not provided.
[Oracle @ test database] $. runInstaller-record-destinationFile/u01/iseise01.rsp
2. Create a Silent Installation response file (text editing method)
The direct editing method is the easiest to operate, and of course it is also relatively error-prone. You need to have a certain understanding of the relevant parameters, however, when the server does not support graphical terminals, its advantages are shown. For specific parameters and meanings, see the file/database/response/enterprise. rsp. The following is an example of a response file for your reference only:
[Oracle @ test u01] $ vi performanise01.rsp
