Grammar

Count () method syntax:

List.count (obj)

  

Parameters
  • Obj--The object that is counted in the list.
return value

Returns the number of occurrences of the element in the list.

Instance

The following example shows how the count () function is used:

#!/usr/bin/pythonalist = [123, ' xyz ', ' Zara ', ' abc ', 123];p rint "count for 123:", Alist.count (123);p rint "Count for Zara : ", Alist.count (' Zara ');

  

The result of the above example output is as follows:
