Retrieve root Password in centos 6.5

  1. Press any key to enter the menu interface

  2. When starting the boot, enter the boot startup interface (for example) and click "e" on the keyboard"

3. Go to the UI, as shown in. I will select the second one and press the "e" key on the keyboard. (There may be some differences between different versions)

4. Enter a space + "single" at the end of the command input line, that is, "KEYTABLE = us rd_NO_DM rhgb quiet single"

5. After editing, go back to the page in step 2. Similarly, select the second item and press the "B" key on the keyboard to guide the system to the single-user mode.

6. As long as you enter the command input server, the others will be simple. The command to change the Root password is "passwd root", and then enter the new password.
