Security Expert: Disable most browser functions to ensure security

More troublesome and safer

According to foreign media reports, the US Computer Security Emergency Response Team (US-CERT) recently said that disabling most Web browsers is the most effective measure to ensure computer security.

CERT recently said in a report: "To improve the browsing experience, many Web applications have been added with a variety of additional features. In fact, many of them are unnecessary. Instead, they may cause malicious attacks to users ."

By default, most of these browser functions are enabled. CERT believes: "The safest policy is to disable most of these features unless deemed necessary ."

At the same time, CERT also recommends that you enable the security level of your browser only when you need some features. After the application is completed, disable the function again.

To this end, CERT also provides browser functions that users should disable: JavaScript, Java and ActiveX controls, plug-ins, and Cookies.
