Set up a root account in a Windows Azure Linux virtual machine

After you have created a Linux virtual machine using Windows Azure, it is not possible to use the default user password to log in to root, as shown in:

This is because Windows Azure creates a Linux virtual machine without setting the root password, and if you want to use the root account, you must also reset the root password using the "sudo passwd root" command, as shown in:
