Today we mainly introduce you to Oracle Database ORA-01460 errors in actual operations, we all know that using PL/SQL DEVELOPER 7 to connect to a newly installed Oracle Server sometimes has a ORA-01460 error, for example, type conversion error.
Only PL/SQL DEVELOPER has this problem.
The suspect is a character set problem. I checked a lot of information and found the cause of the problem:
Query
- select * from nls_database_parameters
Check the NLS_CHARACTERSET item and find that the character set on the normal Oracle database server is ZHS16CGB231280, and the character set on the problematic server is ZHS32GB18030.
An error occurred while trying to use the following command to modify the character set:
- shutdown immedaite;Startup nomount;
Alter database mount exclusive;
Alter system enable restricted session;
Alter system set job_queue_process=0;
An error occurred while executing this statement.
- Alter database open;Alter database character set ZHS16CGB231280;
This statement can only be modified to a superset.
The above content is an introduction to Oracle Database ORA-01460 errors, hope you have some gains.
