Use SQL Developer to port SQL to Oracle (5)

This section describes how to useSQL DeveloperPort SQLOraclePart 5: transfer data.

In the previous section, the Migration wizard automatically generated the table structure we needed in the Oracle database, but it did not help me to import the data successfully. So we use the method of generating offline data mobile scripts to export data.

On the project page of the migration wizard, select the directory generated by the script to open the directory. You can see a subdirectory named "data movement \ Project name \ Date and Time, the file contains the following files:

We can see that there are four script files, two for Windows and the other two for unix. The data export script named unload_script is used to generate a data export file from the source database. The data import script named oracle_ctl is used.

Open cmd, browse to the current directory, and run the following command to export data:

 
 

  
  
>unload_script [server] [username] [password] 
 
 

The server is the source database server, and the username and password are the username and password that can access the source database. Wait a moment and prompt that the export is complete. Then run the following command to import data:

 
 

  
  
>oracle_ctl [oracleusername] [password] 
 
 

You do not need to specify the database name or the like here, because it has already been specified in the script.

Wait for a moment after the import is complete.
