This is the first book on the Ruby on Rails.
The main contents of the book are divided into two parts. In the Build Application section, readers will see an example of a complete online book purchase site. During the presentation, the author truly reproduces a complete iterative development process, giving the reader a firsthand experience of the various problems encountered in real-world application development and how rails can effectively address these issues. In a subsequent "Rails framework" section, the author delves into the various components of the rails framework. It is particularly noteworthy in the latter chapters of this section: the author has introduced the Web 2.0, Web service and other popular technologies in rails support, and then with a wealth of practical experience to introduce rails in security, scalability, deployment and other aspects of the common problems and solutions.
In addition to the above two parts, readers with a lack of knowledge of rails should first read the "Getting Started" section and apply perceptual understanding of the popular web framework through one of the simplest examples. Readers who are unfamiliar with Ruby should read the "Introduction to Ruby" in the "Appendix" section to learn about Ruby's basic syntax and common uses. Overall, the book has both intuitive examples, as well as in-depth analysis, but also covers the Web application development in all aspects of the relevant knowledge, called a simple and simple works.
