OpenBSD 6.0 released
GuideToday, Theo de Raadt from the OpenBSD project is very happy to announce the official release of the OpenBSD 6.0 operating system. After five months of R & D, the system background has received many upgrades, for example, it supports the armv7 architecture and better IEEE 802.11 Wireless stack support. Core Components such as OpenSSH 7.3, OpenSMTPD 6.0.0, OpenNTPD 6.0, and LibreSSL 2.4.2 have also been upgraded.
In today's release statement, "the new version adds the EFI bootloader to replace FAT or EXT and uses the FFS File System to load the kernel when the U-Boot header is required, all processors can use an independent kernel and ramdisk. The flat Device Tree (FDT) is used to replace the static table to dynamically list hardware based on the motherboard ID number and the installation image of U-Boot 2016.07miniroot with EFI payloads ."
User visual changes include GNOME 3.20.2, 4.14.3, and Xfce 4.12 desktop environments, similar to Mozilla Firefox 45.2.0 ESR and 47.0.1, Mozilla Thunderbird 45.2.0, Chromium platinum, GIMP 2.8.16, LibreOffice 5.1.4.2, Vim 7.4.1467, teX Live 2015, Groff 1.22.3, JDK 7u80 and 8u72, GCC 4.9.3, X. org 7.7, X. org Server 1.18.3, Mesa 11.2.2 3D Graphics Library, XTerm 322, Emacs 21.4 and 24.5 and other open source software.
On the server side, OpenBSD 6.0 contains OpenLDAP 2.3.43 and 2.4.44, Node. js 4.4.5, PHP 5.5.37, 5.6.23, and 7.0.8, Postfix 3.1.1 and 3.2-20160515, PostgreSQL 9.5.3, Python 2.7.12, 3.4.5, and 3.5.2, Ruby 1.8.7.374, 2.0.0.648, 2.1.9, 2.2.5, and 2.3.1, Rust 1.9.0-20160608, Sendmail 8.15.2, SQLite 3.9.2, Perl 5.20.3, Ncurses 5.7, Binutils 2.17, Awk Aug 10,201 1 version, Expat 2.1.1, NSD 4.1.10, Unbound 1.5.9, R 3.3.1 and Ocaml 4.3.0.
