PHP, as a command-line tool, is always reliable for Web pages.
Of course, just being able to use PHP at the command line is certainly not the best reason to do so. However, when you start experimenting with PHP in this way, you may soon find that debugging existing scripts becomes ever simpler. PHP programs made up of primary output and very little logic will become incredibly simple. In addition, you can use all of the PHP knowledge to accomplish tasks that you never thought you would have done with PHP before. In fact, there's really nothing that prevents you from using PHP as the almighty King of almost any given programming project.
Installation
The installation is very simple, and it may not even require any special installation of any content. First, try a simple PHP script on the command line. You can use an existing PHP script, or you can try the following code. This example is based on Linux, but similar principles apply to other systems as well.
