It is necessary to add non-root database management account security in phpmyadmin. Phpmyadmin allows you to easily add and delete mysql users. After adding a non-root account, you can use the added account to log on to phpmyadmin to delete the original root account, which is good for security.
Step 2: Open phpMyAdmin and click User in the menu bar to go to the user management page.
Step 2: The user management page lists existing user information. Click Add User to create a new user.
Step 2: Enter the User name [User name ]. There are two options: any user and text field. There is no obvious difference between them. We recommend that you select "use text field" and enter the user name in the text box, such as sky.
Step 2: enter Host information. There are four options: Any host (%), local (localhost), host (host), and Use text field (text field ).
Any host indicates that all hosts are matched; local means that only local hosts are allowed (localhost is entered by default). The host usage is based on the data in the host table in the MySQL database, you do not need to enter any information (this option is invalid if you enter it). You can use a text field to enter the host address information. Select "local.
Step 2: enter the password and Re-type (confirm the password ). There are two options: no password, use text fields. Select "use text field". You can enter the password manually or click Generate to automatically generate the password and display it in the bottom text box.
Step 2: Assign permissions to users. Permission management is divided into two major parts: user database and global permissions.
User database includes two options: Create a database with the same name as the user and grant all permissions; grant all permissions to the database activated by user. You can choose one as needed. Both are not selected. Only new users are created.
Global permissions include data, structure, management, and resource restrictions. You can choose one as needed. Here I select "select all", and select all permissions equivalent to root. Of course, you can also choose not to manage the account, so that the account only has read and write permissions, but does not have the management permissions of the entire mysql.
Step 2: After the permissions are assigned, click the execute button in the lower right corner to create a new user. In the old version, it seems that you have to go back to the phpMyAdmin homepage and re-load the authorization. You can click Reload privileges.
